Gift Aid status in web view should match database view

Currently, when you open a gift in NXT web view it shows Qualified for Gift Aid at the top of the screen based on whether a gift is qualified (meets gift criteria, not excluded by Biz Rules).

It does not consider if the gift is eligible - if there is a valid declaration present.

So if a gift is qualified but not eligible it still shows Qualified for Gift Aid when it is NOT!!!

Meanwhile, in database view, the Tax tab of the gift will accurately show Not qualified, no valid declaration on file.

NXT is supposed to be at-a-glance accurate info so we can work more efficiently. This glitch is illogical and means my users get confused when looking at records, especially when comparing to reports.

Gift Aid status in web view should be made to compare both qualification and eligibility and display an accurate message. Or display both - ie. Qualified for Gift Aid and Not eligible for Gift Aid. Either solution would be better than current situation that only presents half the picture.

I've just raised this issue myself today as I've only just noticed this is happening (I still choose to work in database view and will stay there as long as I can).

What a ridiculous design! There should be NO 'qualified for gift aid' marker on ANY gift where there is no declaration on file. The way this has been designed is to show that HYPOTHETICALLY, a gift would be eligible - if it were eligible. What is the point of that? It's incredibly misleading and unhelpful, and makes things far more time-consuming and confusing for those of us trying to work with gift entry.

Seeing as this idea is almost 3 years old now I don't hold out much hope that they're going to do anything about it but I sincerely hope that they do as this feature is an embarrassment and needs rectifying.
