Control Panel - User activity

As the database administrator of Raiser’s Edge NXT it would be helpful to have statistical data available for reporting user activity. This would provide information on the users that are currently signed in and using the system and will show when they last signed in and total up their access time. This type of report would be used to support the continued purchase of Raiser’s Edge NXT. I am not requesting information about WHAT the user is doing in RE NXT.

Yes!  At minimum, a "last login" date would really be helpful.

This function would be very beneficial for us to gauge if there might be users that no longer need or require access to the Web View.  We find some user's prefer the database view, because of it's familiarity. Like other's mentioned this will let the database administrators know if further training is needed or limited access to this feature or to assist the user with in anyway.

As an organization that is going to go live in October, it would be useful to have this functionality. It would allow us to keep track of who is spending time in the new platform, and who is circumventing the new system...or at least have a conversation on what they are doing.

Having this info is helpful in being able to audit Users on NXT.  Any type of system should have the ability to see when their Users have logged on...and for those that haven't logged on in the last 'x' number of months.  You can kind of get that in the database view as you can look at the 'properties' of a User and look at the 'date last changed'.  Since passwords (on our system) need to be changed every 90 days, we can look at the 'date last changed' and if older than 7 months, then we know that the User has not logged on to the db view for at least 6 months.  This is especially helpful if Users are in different departments within the organization.
