If you build a Constituent list and filter giving by campaign, fund or appeal, the Constituent giving aggregates (First, Last, Greatest, Lifetime) are not impacted by the filtering. Likewise with a Gift list filtered by campaign, fund or appeal, for split gifts the gift amount is not impacted by the filtering. It should be possible to apply selection filtering to the results shown in the list output, or to add filtered aggregate objects to the output (even better).
