Staff member left and I disconnected his NXT User Account. Now, his User Record appears under Needs Invitation. I assume if I delete the User Record from 7, that entire User Record will disappear from both 7 and NXT. But recently I heard that BB recommends never deleting a User Record. That will make the Control Panel become unweildy and the Needs Invitation Tab pretty unhelpful.
Don't know why BB would recommend to never delete a user record...it's not like it's used to authenticate an existing constituent record or anything like that (unless BB is doing something very odd...). The User record should be there when the User is active - that's how they are authenticated to access the system. Then anything the User touches in the system, there should be a field that pulls from the User record...that's it. Once it is written to that field, who really cares what happens to the User record - the field becomes part of the historical record.
Not being able to delete User accounts WILL be problematic from an Administration point of view because who wants to scroll through 20 pages of Users because that is what will happen.
Do it right BB - allow us to delete the User...or at the very least, allow us to make them 'inactive' so that we don't see them anymore unless we want to.
Yep, this is annoying, even more so when we have multiple unused accounts.
