Printing: Profiles, Notes, Actions
I know this has been mentioned in other Ideas and Community Posts, but my (new) boss came in about an hour ago to ask how she could print off a series of Actions (with all Action Notes entered on those Action Records) for a meeting with our CEO and other staff (who are not RE Users). I confirmed with BB Support that this is not currently possible.
It needs to be possible, however. This time, I ended up going into RE:7, creating a new Constituent Profile, and printing off a document with far more than the 8 Actions she requested. (Unfortunately, the only Filters there are fields that I can't really change just to run a report and then have to change back.) The ultimate in flexibility would be to be able to go thru a list of Actions (and/or Notes) and mark off which are to be included, then print a report...or generate a pdf.
In a perfect world, we wouldn't need to print on paper, but we're not nearly there yet, and there will probably always be folks who work better with pen and paper in some instances. (Plus, when there's no available wifi/cell signal, or a power outage, etc.)
And while part of it is definitely my phone, but it takes so long to open records sometimes that we're on to the next topic in a meeting before I can navigate to the data I'm looking for (have to wait on the spinning wheel of death to stop...or the sad beachball as someone else called it). Being able to tag important or currently relevant Notes and Actions would also be helpful if a Record could be opened that shows those first, instead of loading all of them or just the most recent.

Related ideas
Notes and giving will work the same way, first exporting to Excel and then printable. You can actually see this today for gifts by going to a constituent record, Giving history tile, Work with gifts. There's an Export button there where you can export to Excel before printing. But the new Giving tab will give you quicker access to that list.
It's not similarly planned for Custom fields at this time, but the ask makes sense. That's likely a future improvement (which I'd recommend adding a separate idea for so we can track need accurately).

Will this also work for other constituent profiles that only print from DBV? There are personalized profiles for admin, that I run on a regular basis. These include a specific Note type, giving and custom attributes.
With our tabbed constituent redesign, this will be possible by first exporting the constituent's action list to Excel, then printing that. Crucial for office operations currently, and there is no option for this in Web View.

This is a hugely needed feature in the NXT web view. Since my fundraisers are already in the web view, it should be possible to set-up a report or profile for constituents in their portfolio that they can easily generate to a PDF for use in donor meetings or sharing with other fundraisers.
Agreed! Why is this feature not available. This was in ETAP and was perfect for donor visits
High priority! I have to go to database view to print donor profile, but these so not include the donor photos, which when handing preparing a trustee or manager for cultivation meetings/ socials they need photos to be able to quickly scan the room and see who to talk to.
This function should be available as a high priority. Major donor officers are always asking to bring donor profiles to meetings. Please provide this option asap. Thank you.
