Would be great if the giving history table could be customized so in addition to seeing the fund, you could opt to see the campaign and/or appeal. Would allow you to see more useful info at a glance vs having to click through to work with gifts.
Fund is less often as helpful for our fundraisers' at-a-glance needs than appeal, and type is subject to misinterpretation. This customization idea would be a welcome update. Currently fundraisers frequently have to ask the data person or end up misinterpreting the recent gift/fee ("One-time gift" could actually be an event registration fee, recurring payroll or other externally processed recurring gift that has already been budgeted a certain way). If there are only 2 options, fundraisers and the C-suite need the APPEAL and campaign more than anything (They get the most accurate fund info from Finance). The detailed gift record is overwhelming to the staff who aren't accustomed to gift entry, so the at-a-glance is generally as far as they go. Ideally, we'd want date, appeal, campaign OR fund, and maybe even the gift reference field ("comment" in NXT). Other related ideas are Ability to add the appeal and subtype columns to the giving history tile and Allow customization of columns in Giving History tile in NXT and NXT Giving History - more flexibility and Ability to change fields displayed on Giving History tab and Add Gift Code as a column option in NXT's Giving History when viewing a constituent record
Yes! I don't understand why we can't AT LEAST add Appeals. Like Sunshine said, Funds are finance and Appeals are fundraising.
Yes, please! The appeal tells us so much more about the gifts. Funds are tied to finance. Appeals are tied to development and fundraising.
