Ability to Apply Gifts to Pledge in NXT Batch
When adding gifts from RE NXT Batches, you do not have the same option to apply the gift to an existing pledge and also a recurring gift which you can do in DB View. having this option will greatly reduce the ability for gifts to be attributed incorrectly. This was a gift batch that was auto-created through the NXT online donation form. when using OLX to DB View this option is helpful when people pay their pledge online to make sure the gift connects.

Merged The process is in geenral more seamless in the web view, which is where we are adding most of our gifts anyways. When other staff have to be trained development tasks, having them do this in web view would be more user-friendly.8 Shipped

Yes, this. We aren't able to fully transition to posting gifts in NXT because we have recurring gifts set up in database view, and when you go to enter a gift on a constituent's record with an outstanding recurring gift, you're asked if you'd like to apply the gift to a recurring gift. If you say yes, the fields are automatically populated, which is a huge timesaver. Can't believe this functionality doesn't exist in NXT - please do add this is so we can finally start entering gifts there!
Love it! Blackbaud keeps pushing using NXT donation forms. It is not possible for me as I am in the middle of a capital campaign with so many people paying on pledges.

Love it! Right now If a gift is a recurring gift it is comes in as a recurring gift - pay cash but doesn't actually pay a pledge. I have to make those gifts $0 because they can't be edited and then create another gift that actually pays the pledge. I hope this fixes that.

Has there been any progress on this yet?
We are not able to fully integrate to webview and NXT forms because we are not able to apply payments that come through NXT forms to an existing pledge (or events, planned gifts, etc. for that matter).
The only way that I have found around it is to mark the gift as "Do Not Post" then once you approve the NXT batch, to go back into the gift record in database and apply to the pledge and then post it. When you have multiple pledge payments, this is not ideal and a lot of extra manual work.
As Patti notes below, this a huge issue for is as we are newly implemented and as we were of the understanding database view wasn't the way of the future—our general admin staff aren't trained in it. Keen to move to webview!
This is a real hinderance when trying to move completely to webview from DB view The only wany we can add pledges or apply pledge payments is in a DB view batch.
Please find a way to add this function of applying gifts to pledges in NXT. It would be a huge help!
I would also like to see this feature added ASAP please! It will greatly enhance our automation process for the SKY API.
Many of our school families pay off their annual pledge with a recurring gift. Unfortunately, I can't add a pledge (to be included in the campaign total) because I am unable to record the recurring gift as pledge payments. This is a real shortfall. Please find a way to indicate when a recurring gift is actually a pledge payment. It shouldn't be that hard!
Please create the ability to apply gifts to recurring donations, pledges, events, etc. just like the database view.
