Add and Edit Gift Notes
It would be nice if program staff could add notes to gifts in webview. Related to that, add more permission levels so that those staff are able to edit gift notes but none of the gift information.
This would add more detail and context for other program staff using NXT to understand the gift history.

We have work planned to address all the fields that are currently not editable in web view. Included in the work we have defined for the individual fields to be editable, gift notes is part of that upcoming project.
We need this functionality as we add letters that were sent out as text in notes for gifts. Right now I have to go to DBV to add the gift note. Once DBV goes away if this function is not added I will not be able to add these notes.

There are a few New Ideas that reflect this same request, thus watering down the votes.
It is really backwards that we have to go to the database view to add a comment (gift reference in database view) or notes on a gift record. Please allow this to happen in webview.
Is there any update on this happening? We could really use this feature.
