Why doesn't asterik (wild card) not work in NXT when searching?

This is a REALLY beneficial feature!

Having a wild card for searching is invaluable. When searching for names or funds that have difficult spelling, street names, counties, etc. - the asterisk is a "life saver" in actually finding a record and avoids duplication, loss of continuity, etc. Luminate has an option for a wild card [ % ]. Webview does not identify records as well as DBview based on misspelling or similar sound.

The lack of a wild care for searching is highly frustrating and can potentially lead to duplicate records.

Wildcard searching is essential. It helps us prevent duplicates. I get that webview searching is smarter and searches partial information, but I seriously miss being able to search by specific field as with the advanced search in database view. Couple this with being able to wildcard searching for specific constituent fields, and I am able to find almost any record I need with constituent search in database view. As we transition to unified view, I need a similar functionality to ensure we can keep the system clean and prevent duplicates.

Please add this to query name search too! It's annoying to go to dbv just to look up the exact name of my query so that I can find it in webview!

The database view is smarter in this area and will find people even if you didn't spell name correctly. I just wished it searched in things line address or email too.
