It would be very useful to have the ability to export users and their security groups for reporting. To also be able to export the permissions in each group, this would save a lot of back and forth between screens while reviewing security.
DBA should be able to essentially query on user security groups and permissions to see who currently has permission/rights to a certain area or feature of the database. When education information was recently updated in NXT, I had to go thru and check all my user groups to make sure no one had rights to delete or edit the education records in NXT. If there was an option to query or print out this information, it would have saved me a lot of time. Frankly, a lot of DBA responsibilities like this are severely lacking in RENXT.
Security audits should be a regular DBA task, and the convoluted way it must be done takes up too much time. PLEASE add the ability to print from DB view the list of users to include full name, user name, and security group.
We are required to submit monthly a security reports showing user access. Database has this functionality which NXT does not yet have. As more security configuration is developed in NXT, this leaves a gap in reporting compliance as reports are required to be run directly from the application.
