The ability to report on how long prospects are spending in each stage of the donor cycle is useful in preventing prospects stuck in discovery or cultivation. It helps keep portfolios fresh so that only the best prospects for the present are assigned. If someone isn't moving towards solicitation, this is one of the most common ways of catching it for a group of prospects (as opposed to viewing the information in an individual's record).
This is a great suggestion, so it definitely gets my vote. Having "Prospect Status History" and "Days in Stage" available in query/output would be incredibly helpful for identifying stalled prospects and ensuring portfolios stay active and focused.
Thanks for putting this forward!
Commenting in 2025: it really is a critical piece of informaiton that's not easilly pulled from RE. As far as I can tell this isn't an object in the database, but a calculation on the website, meaning there's no way to pull it. But engineers should be able to add this as a calculated field in the query itself.
This is such a key piece of information for major gift work that I'm baffled why it hasn't been part of the software since the beginning. The depth of the prospect and ask management tools is what sets Raiser's Edge apart from other software products, but this is a gaping hole.
I know it won't be added in database view, since no development work is going toward that. But for your clients' sake, please add this functionality to webview!
We do too, please - it's 2022!
I really need this as well. Please!
