I have realised that we have added the photo of a man with the same name to the wrong profile. I cannot find a photo for this man but it appears I am not able to remove the photo, only replace it. The fact that they share the same name and studied in the same faculty makes these two profiles particularly prone to getting mixed up, but not being able to remove the photo adds to the confusion. Obviously I will replace it, but it seems a bit nuts that I can add a photo, without the ability to remove it.
Thanks for your comments. Keri, I will definitely vote on your link. Jen, good idea using the logo - I've replaced the image with one that says 'Replaced image' - I really thought outside of the box with that one! ;)
As a workaround, at my last organization, I used our logo to replace profile pictures that needed to be removed. Or a generic image of some sort that you will see at a glance is not actually a picture (a box with text, "profile picture not available"). At the start of the first EAP, NXT was pulling Profile Pictures from Facebook, and a coworker's picture was of her feet in cute flipflops on the beach. I don't recall if that functionality was removed, or if I just stopped putting in Facebook links.
Oh gosh YES.
The righthand "Related Ideas" column on this page shows that we want to be able to delete it!
