Ability to update constituent contact information

Some of our users have NXT access only. If they contact someone on their list and find out that contact information has changed (i.e., email, phone number, address), it would be great if they could change the information in NXT.

I want to ensure that the security in RE will prevent users who do not have permissions to update records on the bio1 tab, etc will be enforced before I want this rolled out to us.

Hey again everyone.  We are wrapping up add/edit address work in NXT web view and are looking for some customers that want to get the functionality early and give us some feedback.  Key areas of improvement are around international addresses and sharing.  If you are interested email me at paul.finch@blackbaud.com and we can discuss further.

My fundraisers are entering actions and things in NXT and then emailing changes in phone numbers/emails to an admin...inefficient and creates a lag in the correct information. Number one feature my team is asking for!

yes!  i've touted how wonderful NXT is for those that are "on the ground" but they can't do basic things - updating contact info and creating new records.

Love the new Edit/Add Email feature...EXCEPT for the fact that you are required to select a Primary and when you're entering a Work Email and a Home Email, you may not know or there may not be a preferred/primary selection.  Forcing a selection will mean either a continual cleanup in RE:7 or that users will ignore the Primary indicator altogether (we aren't even at a point of starting to use this since it was first available with 7.94).  So I'd love to see that requirement removed, please.

I find it pretty insane this isn't already a function of NXT. The whole point is an easy and streamlined data management process for (now) the "in the field" folks. If they aren't able to quickly enter new bio data via RE NXT (the platform they're using on their travel device, and likely the ONLY platform they'll be trained on) it's a very silly duplication of effort that now they need to either switch platforms (good luck) or relay that info back to the office. This effectively makes the "awesomeness of NXT" for field staff totally moot. You guys need to add this function ASAP. Also, they should be able to ADD new people... same reasoning. NO reason these two functions should be withheld...

Love the idea of creating a form to submit changes/corrections. Definitely want to be able to review changes submitted such as Jennifer suggested.

We're planning to allow editing contact information in the RE NXT web view over the next few months.  It will be addressed (no pun intended) and released on a field by field basis.

This!! We really, really need this. It's ruining our ability to convince our team the NXT is really a valuable solution.

I agree would be more efficient to change immediately on NXT

We're looking to add a couple of users who would primarily be entering new constituents (just 10 or so per month) and would greatly prefer they be working solely in RE:NXT.

For data changes, I would love to see an audit trail, or to be able, as the DBA, to confirm these changes as a double-check.  (Optional feature, since not everyone will want this.)
