When an Education Management parent record is linked to an existing Raiser's Edge NXT constituent through Total School, the selected constituent code (for example, Current Parent) is added to the constituent record, but the start date stays blank.

The start date setting in Fundraising Rules > Student Families (None, Enrollment Date, or Custom Date) doesn't apply when records are linked. The linking window also has no field for entering a start date manually. Today, we have to go back to Raiser's Edge NXT after linking and add the start dates by hand or with a global change. This takes extra time and can leave gaps in constituent code history and reporting.
