It would be valuable to configure Online Data Review constituent matching preferences separately for Donations, Events and Memberships, rather than applying one setting across all online forms.

At the moment, we have different matching needs depending on the transaction type:

• Donations: Review transactions with unmatched constituents works very well for us. It reduces unnecessary review while still allowing users to check transactions where a constituent cannot be matched.

• Events: Use automatic constituent matching could provide an efficient experience with minimal manual intervention.

• Memberships: We need Review and match all transactions to ensure incoming membership transactions are linked to the correct existing constituent and membership records. Without this level of review, renewals can be missed or not processed correctly.

Because Online Data Review currently applies a single preference across all form types, we have to choose the setting that protects the most sensitive workflow rather than the setting that works best for each type of transaction.

Could Online Data Review allow organisations to set the constituent matching preference by form type, for example:

Donations → Review unmatched constituents
Events → Automatic constituent matching
Memberships → Review and match all transactions

This would give organisations more flexibility to balance automation, data quality and efficient processing, while supporting the different requirements of donations, events and memberships.
