Our organization relies on relationship records to manage donor recognition and stewardship processes.
Specifically, we create relationship links between constituents and donor wall entities and store important recognition information at the relationship level, including:
Donor Recognition Name
Donor Wall Sort Order
Stewardship notes
These fields are currently maintained through relationship attributes and notes in Database View. However, equivalent functionality is not available in NXT.
As organizations prepare for the retirement of Database View, it is important that NXT provide full support for:
Creating and editing relationship-level custom fields/attributes
Creating and editing relationship notes
Querying, reporting, and exporting relationship-level data
Bulk management of relationship-level fields
Donor recognition management is a critical stewardship function, and my organization rely on relationship records to track recognition details for donor walls.
We would like to see full parity in NXT before the retirement of Database View.
Without this functionality, my organization may need to redesign well-established donor recognition and stewardship processes that currently depend on relationship-based data structures.
