In the new tabbed view, consent and solicit codes are placed in the Biographical tab and the Communications tab includes Emails and Appeals. I propose moving Solicit Codes and Consent to the Communications tab, as it is important to see a full picture of a constituent's contact preferences and along with their email history in the one tab.
This is especially important at the moment with emails sent through Raiser's Edge only having a global unsubscribe button that opts constituents out of all email communication, as it doesn't allow for automatic solicit codes to be added to the constituent record. Due to this limitation, we have to pull lists of email unsubscribes and manually add the solicit codes and dates to the records by looking at the date the constituent unsubscribed - which is found in the Email section. Having the Email section in a different tab to Solicit Codes would mean having to swap between these tabs to check/confirm or update information that is linked between Solicit Codes, Consent and Email.
I believe having a constituent's contact preferences makes more sense and is more relevant to the Communications tab instead of it being with all of the general constituent information and contact details in the Biographical tab.
