Hello, your communication during our transition from RE7 to RENXT has been very welcome. Thank you.
For gift entry in RE7 I use View -> Constituent Window (CW) in a few critical ways to speed my manual gift batch entry--I'm responsible for entering US Mail gift batches daily.
I voted for RENXT-I-9760 because I also need a sticky window with a limited number of fields that I can choose to expose. I'd like the window width to remain the same.
I voted for RENXT-I-9710 because I want a persistent window from line to line… this may be the same as RENXT-I-9760 but in case they are interpreted differently, I voted for both.
I voted for RENXT-I-8802 because I don't like having the constituent record window replace my batch screen--if I need to open the record fully, I want to be able to open it in a new tab in my browser. Perhaps this means a setting where users can choose which of the two ways they would like to experience RENXT as a default.
We're looking forward to making the shift to RENXT, but for now RE7 is still more functional and convenient. However, I think RENXT could be an improvement over my RE7 experience.
If I could, I would also have some Relationship fields represented in my CW. I want to quickly learn if we've already captured additional names on my gift documents as parents/children on record, or perhaps family/friend. I want to know if we have assigned a fundraiser to the donor's profile--I might assign the fundraiser an Outbound Mail action to complete the acknowledgement letter, a signal that they should check their scan folder for the gift documentation.
I've also wish I could see soft-credit donor information exposed in my CW. The thank you preference for a soft-credit donor-advised fund gift is an additional lookup for me currently. I also need to check to see if the donor-advised Alias field is populated with the Fund name. Ideally, we'd have a more than one donor-advised Alias field, because we do have donors with more than one DAF, but they are rare so far.
If you go with RENXT-I-9760 and allow us to expose only the fields we need during gift batch entry, I hope you will offer us the options from all the available fields on the Constituent records, and not a subset of them as it was in RE7. The Soft Credit would be so huge--possibly the most complicated to pull off, but huge. Thank you.
