We send donors an annual email to recognize the anniversary of their first gift. The list is prepared monthly. If it were possible to query for gift month equals January, February, etc. like birthdate, then we could easily group these donors to prepare the list. Instead, we have to maintain a constituent custom field with their first gift month, which is added by exporting first gift date and using Excel to split out the gift month.
