Currently, when using the Gift Type merge field in Online Giving receipt templates, the value is displayed using the system-defined formatting (for example, "One-time" or "Recurring").

Organizations would benefit from having the ability to customize how the Gift Type merge field is displayed within receipt templates. For example, some organizations would prefer the value to appear as:

• one-time

• recurring

instead of:

• One-time

• Recurring

This request is purely related to the presentation and formatting of the merge field value. The Gift Type itself would remain unchanged; only the displayed text on the generated receipt would be configurable.
