Use gift queries to determine committed and received revenue filters

I really like the ease of being able to switch back and forth between committed and received totals, however, the settings available do not allow our organization to measure committed revenue accurately. We have a specific gift query that we use for our committed revenue (I would assume many other organizations do as well) and if we could just attach that gift query as the filter criteria many of the out of the box reports would meet our needs and be used in our everyday reporting for our board and upper management.

Thanks Heather - These are helpful, however, I believe we would still like the ability to attach a query as there are other fields we consider for our committed revenue (Gift Code, Campaign, and Gift Subtype). I shared my query with you in an email so you can take a look.

Dan - today we are shipping some additional settings options for committed, received and recognition analysis. It isn't a query, but it does address what we understand are the highest priority needs.

You will be able to Exclude individual funds or fund categories. You will also be able to exclude Membership dues or Event participant fees.

I've heard some feedback around Campaigns and gift subtype, but with some deeper conversation these turned out to be workarounds to not having these settings.

Let me know if you still have gaps here. I'll leave this Idea marked Voting Open.

This is a fantastic idea and will help us avoid lots of reporting problems, and should allow us to move our overall reporting into NXT by fiscal year.  Right now we do it in an external reporting system.
