Grid batch in NXT has come so far and I'm grateful we can see pledges, soft credits, etc. now. However, it clutters up the batch to have all that in there. We have soo many pledges in our system and don't have them memorized, so the only way to know if someone has a pledge that they might be making a payment on is to keep the pledge column in the batch all. the. time. I anticipate this will be the same setup for recurring gifts. Same for soft credits and a few other fields that we use less frequently. There is no way to check that soft credits have been applied appropriately, unless that column sits perpetually in the batch. Having all these fields in the batch on the off-chance that we might need them without knowing it at batch setup feels cluttered, and makes review hard when you're tabbing past all these unnecessary fields.

Arguably, we could keep the columns in and then remove them after processing, but this just feels like extra steps when the setup in DBV was so useful. Could we please move these one-off columns back up to the header/pop-up format we had before so they are easily accessible but don't clutter up the review stage?
