We want to include a tickbox or dropdown field to our standard donation form that allows people to opt out of receiving a thank you. Many supporters tell us to "save the postage", so this is a way of giving them that option at the time when they make the gift.

However, there is no means of mapping this into the donation form (confirmed this with Blackbaud) so it updates the gift's acknowledgement status. The only workaround is to add a custom field which you can map, but then this adds in an extra step of having to set up a list with these gifts and manually updating their status.
