Add the ability to set default Tribute information in RENXT Web View gift batches, similar to the functionality that exists in Database View. This would allow users to apply a single honoree/memorial tribute, tribute type, acknowledgment status, and acknowledgees to all gifts within a batch when the tribute information is the same.
Many organizations receive groups of gifts made in honor or memory of the same individual. When entering these gifts in a batch, users currently must manually add and configure the same tribute information on every single gift record in Web View.
Database View allowed users to set batch-level defaults for:
Honor/Memorial designation
Tribute record
Tribute type
Acknowledgment status
Acknowledgees
This significantly reduced repetitive data entry and ensured consistency across all gifts in the batch.
Although Web View batches now support tributes, there is no way to apply a default tribute to multiple gifts.
For every tribute gift entered, users must:
Click Apply Tribute
Click + Add Tribute
Search and Select for the honoree
Type and Select the tribute type
Update acknowledgment status if needed
Select the appropriate acknowledgee(s) if needed
Click Save
Click Done
This results in 6–8 additional clicks and data-entry actions per gift when the tribute information is identical across the entire batch. The current process creates substantial repetitive work that was previously unnecessary in Database View.
Implementing default tribute settings at the batch level would:
Reduce repetitive clicks and data entry
Improve processing efficiency for gift-entry staff
Save significant time when entering large tribute batches
Reduce the risk of data-entry errors and inconsistencies
Create parity with Database View functionality
Improve overall user experience in RENXT Web View
