In database view batch, the system prompts us when a constituent has an outstanding pledge, allowing us to apply the payment to the pledge. This functionality does not exist in web view batch, meaning we can't apply pledge payments during data entry.
We request the same pledge payment prompt in web view batches that exists in database view—alerting users when a constituent has an open pledge and offering the option to apply the payment.
This will enable us to process all gift batches in web view instead of switching between database and web view. Critical for organizations with high volumes of pledge payments via check.
If anyone else is encountering this and want's to reference my case number it's 021011916. Support is researching
Yes, that does not sound correct to me.
Mine is showing blue even if there is not a pledge on the constituent record. I suppose I should open up a case with support.
The pledge column will allow you to link a gift to a pledge for any constituent. The blue notification icon on that column should only show if there are active open pledges for the constituent selected.
When I added to my batch, and then clicking on "+pledges" it was prompting for pledges when there was none on the consitutent record. Is this working as designed? It seems to me that it would only appear if there was an outstanding pledge.
This does exist. The prompt is now via a notification on the Pledge column which would need to be added to the template.
Yes, PLEASE PLEASE add this. It is mission critical for my organization.
Yes! Also for recurring gifts as well. We're having trouble linking recurring gifts to the original gift.
It is possible to apply a payment to a pledge in grid batch, it's just more labor intensive. Pledges/Apply to Pledge is a column that can be added to a web view batch. However, it takes more steps to add the pledge to the batch in web view. Also, once the payment is applied to the pledge, the Campaign, Fund, and Appeal don't autofill like they do in database view batch. This makes the whole process much more time consuming.
