When you create a new constituent record in database view, all the fields in the record are immediately available to populate. In NXT, it's just a limited few that are initially available - you have to create the record first and THEN you have access to all the other fields like Aliases, additional name formats, etc. The process of creating a new record would be much easier and more efficient if all the fields could be populated initially instead of having to create a record and then go in and edit all the different tiles.
