The ability to flag a pledge as Do Not Send Pledge Reminder was available in DBV and is an important functionality that should be retained in NXT. We use this flag for several scenarios, including donors who fulfill their commitments through payroll deductions, pledges being satisfied through recurring gifts, and donors who are in regular communication with their gift officers regarding their commitments. In these cases, automated pledge reminders are unnecessary and can create confusion or result in redundant outreach.

Without this functionality, we lose the ability to easily exclude these pledges from reminder pulls without relying on additional manual review or workarounds. Please consider restoring this functionality in NXT so we can manage pledge reminders appropriately based on each donor's circumstances and our organization's preferences, without having to create yet another custom field to track functionality that was previously available in DBV.

This is a critical step in maintaining accurate donor communications. Members with active recurring pledges should be excluded from reminder notices, and donor communication preferences, including requests not to receive reminders, must be respected to ensure a positive donor experience.

This option is definitely needed as I create pledge reminders based on this flag in my query. Some donors don't want to be reminded, but most do and our fundraisers are very appreciative of the reminders I create. This also helps me as the data admin to pay attention to pledges and get updates from the fundraisers on those who may be falling behind in their payment schedule.
