Currently, Online Express serves as the critical connection between Merchant Services and an NPO's RE Donors database. As plans move toward a single-view system, maintaining this connectivity remains essential. Excluding Online Express functionality from the single-view design would have significant negative consequences for gift processing workflows.

Without it, users face increased manual effort with little to no corresponding benefit. Tasks that are currently straightforward would require additional steps and more time to complete, reducing overall efficiency.

To support effective gift processing, the new system should provide the ability to:

• Create gift batches directly from transactions within Merchant Services.

• Link gifts to existing donor records.

• Create new donor records when no matching record exists.

Given current ability appears to introduce extra steps while delivering the same end result. As currently envisioned, it requires users to work harder to accomplish routine tasks that are already handled efficiently today.

Is increasing user effort without providing additional value an intended outcome of the single-view initiative?
