This idea has been merged into another idea. To comment or vote on this idea, please visit RENXT-I-7720 NXT webview missing important phone fields.
At present, if you add a note to an address (via info source) or a comment next to email or phone in database, that note does not show in NXT. So if you marked an address as "Do Not Contact" in Database because they don't want mail any more, and then you get a "new" address for them, you don't know why the mail was marked as Do Not Contact.
Same would apply to email and phones. Please move the notes and comments over from DB into NXT!
Metadata is important for context! Cluttering NOTES and ACTIONS panels with this information is inefficient when actually needed and also waters down the actual purpose of those sections. Please bring this over from DBV. Also related to RENXT-I-780 Comments with phone numbers.
We use the comments for information on source of the email or phone. This is very important for us to know when a new source might come in with a new number and we can decide where/how to put in the new information.
Please add comment fields to addresses, phones, emails! We need these fields at our organization.
This is also important on organization records where we may have multiple addresses/contact info for different purposes/local communities but not a need for a specific individual organization contact relationship
This is especially necessary in NXT as donor portal implementation becomes more popular. We have currently abandoned using these fields since the people who need them most only work in NXT now and BB has continued to encourage web view as a "unified view." Instead we have to clutter actions and notes fields with this information and can't use the MAIL function as efficiently as we otherwise could. This is related to the 2017 RENXT-I-2225 "Make All Email/Phone/Address Fields Available in NXT: Region, Info Source, No Valid Address, Audit info"
If an email is marked Do Not Email due to an unsubscribe request through Email Marketing, it would be nice for this to be noted. As such we don't know if the email is invalid, unsubscribed, prefers no email, etc.
Please consider adding comments fields!
Absolutely would save time and confusion. One hundred times YES!
My organization really needs the comments fields on contact information to be viewable in web view. The fact this is only in database view is a hindrance.
This functionality is super important, coming from an organization providing care on a terminal illness, and we need to know exactly who we are contacting.
The fact that this is STILL not availavle in RE NXT (Insights or lists) is crazy. Suggested in 2017. What does it take to have a posted idea implemented? What's the point of posting ideas if they're ignored for years?
Really need this functionality - we consolidated many of our phone types and now use the comment to delineate the historical information. "Vacation Home" was removed, and is now "Home" but has comment of "Vacation" - we did the same thing for things like "Home Fax", "Business Fax", "Direct Line", etc where the detail of the old type is now living in comments and would be very helpful to have in web view.

We use the comments to record where emails and phones have come from, which is particularly important now for helping us record consent. So we really need to be able to view and edit this field in NXT.
