From the constituent record is now changed a bit since the updated tabbed view. We are going to address that, so it works similar to the add gift form where you land on the record after saving if we are unable to have that gift show immediately in the gift list section. So just to clarify, if you go to Add > Gift from the main nav, it works as I mentioned, if you are using the add gift direct from the constituent, we have to make a change there and we are planning to address that soon.

Anthony, I would love to see an example of this because I added 2 single gifts today from a constituent's Giving tab and when I saved it all I got was "Your gift appears on the gift tab after processing completes". And I had to wait more than 5 minutes while constaltly refreshing for that to happen. It DID NOT land on the gift record.

Thanks Anthony - it is the single gift entry that has an issue. That wait time is too much. I love love love what you have done with getting it for us in the grid batch :) I also love how quickly you saw this :) Happy Halloween.

Anthony, we would like gift code to be a part of the original gift add. Sometimes, it takes 15 minutes for a gift to show up after I add it, this is unacceptable especially when we have to go back into the gift record to complete the information.

My comment was dealing with the single gift add form experience specifically. And when doing it thru the single gift add, you do land on the new gift record without having to wait for the lists data to update. For batch add, gift code is a field that can be added to the grid to add before committing.

I enterd a test gift as a friend was struggling with this - as you know I enter all my gifts through batch. It has been 9 minutes and the gift still isn't showing up on the record. So I'm not taken directly from entering the single gift core details (gift code is a core detail for many of us) to the gift record where I can put in more specifics.

I just check again and 10 minutes later the gift is showing up. I'm hoping that this can be changed from already exists to planned or voting open. Seems like something that even if it isn't immediately should be addressed. I also hope when we get to default sets that gift code will be included there.

This makes more sense to have this feature while entering the gift! Sometimes we forget to go back into the gift to make the edit and it's very frustrating when running reports on gift code.

O.k. I found the Gifts & Marketing code tile . . . but just know that this makes so much extra work for those of us who are entering gifts in NXT. To me, it's laziness on the part of Blackbaud.

So, @Anthony where do I find this field on an individual gift record in NXT? Do I need to add this as a customer field? I'm not seeing a Gifts & Marketing code tile on a gift record.

I also do not see this field in the edit options on the gifts in Webview - we use this field on all gifts - when I do integrity checks at the end of the month and someone enters one incorrectly how do we fix it in webview???

This doesn't already exist. Please make it so users can input data in ALL gift fields when adding a single gift using the "New"(plus sign) button. Having to enter a gift with incomplete information and then having to go into the gift record to edit it is why I don't use Web View to add single gifts.

I think this is the major over all challenge with moving to webview for Database Entry/Admins. The strength of database view is we can create records completely and then save them. Quicker entry by remaining "slim" may not actually be quicker in the long run.

Yes!! I am still adding individual gifts in Database view because all fields are not available in single gift entry in Web View. It's a waste of time to input incomplete information, let us enter everything we need to the first time. All fields need to be available everywhere.

Gift code should be available for any type of gift entry. Sending me back to db view to add one off gifts/pledges as gift code is required field for us.
