The spouse name is ALWAYS hidden under the search/"+New' drop-down, so it is very frustrating to remind other staff of this hidden option.

In observing non-technical staff walk through the steps to add a spouse as a guest, they almost always stumble at that spot. Often they don't even realize it is a search box and just click the "+New" option before I even have the chance to instruct "click any blank area on the pop-up to make that dropdown go away so we can see if there is a 'add spouse' option." If they start typing the spouse name in the search box, they can get very frustrated if the spouse isn't listed on the dropdown and sometimes close the window to give up. I've even tried making a Scribe screencast to remind staff of the hidden spouse feature, but most forget.

It would be nice for the spouse name to be placed lower on the window or to have it as an option on the previous page (i.e. "Add spouse" doesn't even require going to the "Add guest" pop-up)

Even though this function has been added it is always covered by the pop up window that asks to add a new guest. Very frustrating.

I agree with this. It would be nice for the registrant to be able to select the spouse from the form instead of having to go back behind the scenes to fix this. Even if it is a checkbox of "Guest is Spouse" and then look for a spouse record to add to the event if there is a spouse on the registering constituent's record.

We've released a change that will show the spouse's name from the "Add guest" form. You can easily click on the spouse name to have their name entered as the guest, select their appropriate invitation/registration status and participation level and save the form. Hopefully this will save you some clicks in your backoffice participant entry!

We are planning to add this feature in a future release. This Idea will be updated when it ships. Thanks for all the votes - we realize how often this occurs and the efficiency a feature like this would add to your guest entry!
