Allow Batch Description to use custom configurations
Regarding the Batch Description and Batch Number information for donation forms and installment batches, I'd like to be able to change the default-applied Batch Description to something shorter, and use my own numbering sequence for the batch number. Some of the descriptions are currently 120 characters or longer. The text is unnecessarily long, and causes reporting issues. I'd like to construct my own template language with the merge fields that are obviously available somewhere: payment source, date, type of payment, and payment processor. For example, I don't need the payment processor information, since we only have one payment processor.

The current batch number format that is auto-assigned in NXT is problematic for us. My team is re-assigning batches based on referencing the next available batch number in database view, which is not a sustainable or streamlined process. The batch number format that is auto-assigned in NXT is too long and not a useful format. We need to be able to outline our own preferred business rules for assigning batch numbers.
yes, we should be able to use our own Batch numbering that automatically goes to the next in the sequence. The "GFT-2026-30" is too long - we only use 4 digits and have no need for the year or GFT to be included
The batch numbering for me is a big one, we set it up to start with the FY and then it always auto increments in dbview (Ex. 26001, 26002...). I'd love for it to function the same way in webview.
