It is very frustrating not to be able to see all the information I need without having to scroll to the side. The column widths in grid batch are super wide, unnecessarily so, and cannot be made smaller.
I think this post should stay related to the column widths, we do see the comments but when it comes to marking things closed or planned, we will always stick to the nature of the idea itself.
The template should be sticky, it has an order and that is part of the point of having that functionality. If you are seeing that not be the case, I would contact support to see if they can file a bug with the steps to duplicate.
We use batch templates quite a bit in dbv, so I already have push-back on moving to uv- whether a seasoned or temporary staff person - it helps to keep the gift entry quick, consistent, and offers fewer chances of errors.
Muscle-memory still applies and respectfully, we should acknowledge and avoid adding these 'hidden' steps to any process...
When creating a batch template, please keep the order of the fields sticky. I've organized the fields in the template in a way that makes sense for our organization. I moved some fields to the top, some to the middle, etc. But when applying this saved template to a new gift batch, the fields are in a different order. Rearranging columns each time you create a new batch is time consuming and frustrating.
My team has complained about this numerous times. If we're needing to look up info on a batch with many transactions, the user may have to scroll over to find the right column, and then up to the top to see column headings, and then down to the right item. It's very frustrating. Users should also be allowed to freeze headers so they always appear.
