Lock anonymous checkbox in Grid View so clicking the name field doesn't uncheck it

Currently in grid view, if I click into the name field of a gift line, the anonymous checkbox UNchecks itself. This happens whether I edit or not; whether I click into it with my mouse or simply tab across it from the prior row. Please immediately UNLINK these two fields -- whether I click into a field or not should have no bearing on unchecking a box in a different column. The only way I should be able to uncheck the anonymous box is by specifically unchecking it myself.


If people don't know this is happening (and there is no reason they would if the column is out of sight), there are many many gifts being processed as public, against donor wishes right now.

    @Anthony -- got it -- so changing the constituent in a batch would also have this problem (eg if someone donated under a nickname and RE thought it was a "new" person, and then I manually change it to the RE ID of the actual person). I look forward to updates -- thank you for looking into this!

    I am seeing it but it is because it is updating that field based on the constituent so the order would matter. There was nothing fixed here so there is still a workflow that may need to be addressed.

    @Anthony the original problem was a bug request that I got a response of "this is working as intended" which is why I posted this, because that couldn't possibly be true. But what I have seen is that this is fixed now. However, we only use NXT for online gifts currently, so I haven't tried to check the anon box first & then add the constituent yet.

    @karen I think this is a acting how I would expect but there could be a small bug as well. If you check the box first (or use a default) then the constituent is added, it will look to the constituent record to see if the "Gives anonymously" box is marked. There is probably something we can change here but I would lean bug more than feature request.

    Has anyone talked to support about this and tried to get a bug filed?

    This seems like a bug and I'm not sure why we need to vote on bug fixes. Can't you move directly to Planned or does it need to go through a process for prioritization?
