Allow Grid Batch Defaults to be Viewed as a Header Row in Batch Grid

Pain Point: Actively updating defaults during high-volume gift entry and not being able to see default values while entering new gifts.

During high-volume entry, I would normally group my entries by fund, appeal, etc., to make them easier to process. Making tweaks to a few defaults in the header as I reach each "group" of gift records with commonalities. Being able to edit and view defaults as a header row is simple and easy.

No second-guessing because I can constantly see it - no scrolling back and forth through defaults trying to find and update the 3 fields I need.

Right now, having defaults in a pop-up window is clunky, and it's another slowdown. I am over the moon to have it at all, and am so appreciative, but it's not optimized.

I'm doing quite a bit of going back and forth to double-check myself. I would love to see these live in a header row in NXT Grid-batch.

Also totally agree! We regularly change the batch defaults in the middle of processing a batch, based on how the next grouping of line entries needs to be coded. Having it visible and easily accessible at the top of the batch is so helpful in DB.

Agree 100%! We can do this currently in database view

I haven't been able to do much with gift batch yet as need missing fields like Gift Code but I concur that grouping and switching defaults makes gift entry so muc more efficient. Had not yet considered that the defaults can not be seen while in the batch. Yes, would be of great benefit to see the defaults as headers.
