Allow Fee Covered Gifts to be Edited in the Donor Portal

When donors make an online gift and choose to cover processing fees (Donor Cover or Complete Cover), they are currently unable to edit their gift amount or payment details in the Donor Portal.

Donors should be able to self‑manage these gifts in the Portal in the same way they can manage non‑fee‑covered gifts, including updating payment methods or adjusting amounts.

This limitation creates confusion for donors, increases support requests, and undermines the goal of donor self‑service.

    Also allow us to change it for the donor on the backend. Not being able to easily edit a recurring gift with fees covered has caused tension with some of our donors...

    Not having this customization feels unprofessional to a donor. I think that if a donor changes the amount, there should be a pop up to "reauthorize" a new donor cover amount. Considering how many donors we have that cover their fees, the portal feels quite limiting.

    This has increased our support requests ten fold this year. WE have so many donors that are frustrated and confused as to why they can't manage their donation if they generously chose to cover the fee.
