Ability to Change the Address on a Primary Employer Relationship

In database view, if you link an organization that has a constituent record to an individual as their primary employer, you can change the primary business address on that relationship record.

In NXT, if you link the organization's record to the individual's record as a primary employer, you are stuck with the address on the organization's record as the individual's primary business address. There is no option to change the address on the relationship record.

This is necessary in cases where an individual works for a large organization with multiple locations, and you want to link them to that larger organization's record, but also want to include the address for the specific office where they work.

Just adding a different business address apart from the primary employment relationship isn't an effective solution, because then the constituent will have two business addresses, and also in Query, the address fields that are exportable under the "Primary Business" table won't be for the constituent's specific office, it will be the address on the organization's record.

This is so important, especially for large organisations. A lot of our alumni work for different departments within the same university at different addresses. It's so unhelpful that it just links to a generic address. It's especially unhelpful, since when you add organisations in NXT, it brings up both constituents and non-constituent relationship records, meaning that data is ultimately tidier if you add big organisations as constituents.

I just noticed this was an issue last week (April 2026), and I couldn't find this idea, someone else pointed it out to me - really think this is important!!
