Appreciate the ability to manage GL distributions being added to webview; however, it will be quite cumbersome to edit project distributions with how this is currently implemented. Currently each distribution line requires a click, click of edit, editing the underlying data and clicking save. Suggest a grid view edit as is available in DB view or more functionality around globally updating project and account distributions within fund records before retiring management of the ability to manage that data in DB view.
Yes! This is needed! I clicked "Copy From" in a fund about 50 minutes ago and I'm still getting the throbbing blue circle, so it doesn't seem like we can even use the existing functionality as intended in WV.
As I can't see what "Copy From" does (besides hang up my database for an hour), I'm assuming that the functionality is as lackluster as the other features BB has rolled out in WV. Something like that should have checkboxes for which distribution lines you want to copy over.
The current webview layout is not efficient for review or data entry. Recommend a "show-all" toggle switch at the top so all possible lines of the GL distribution (that is, all gift types) would show even if they do not have a GL distribution entered. This would mirror the database view screen. For anyone who doesn't need to see all available lines/gift types, they could turn that toggle off and show only the lines with distributions entered. Also, the multiple clicks to edit the distribution is inefficient - would prefer a screen that can be tabbed through like the new gift batch.
Reiterating and adding to what Matthew stated, each fund we have contains 50+ lines. To edit each one is a nightmare. In addition make the account number fields bigger so you don't have to click see more for every line or at least make us click see more once and all lines open. In addition a wish list item would be a find and replace option.
Yes, the current layout in WV is very cumbersome and time consuming. Not only are there numerous clicks required for each line to edit the distribution but to see the full GL code for each line requires clicking on the "see more." There's plenty of real estate on the screen so why the need to hide half the GL? For those of us who need to update GL distributions (due to bank changes, for ex.), this is just inexplicable inconvenience. Will we at least get the ability to globally update GL distributions on funds?
