Having this filter would help ensure double-counting of gifts does not occur. The way NXT currently captures gifts that are committed is based on anything that is entered into NXT. So the insight for Gift Amount Committed is counting both the pledge and the pledge payment. This double-counts those funds and gives us inaccurate data when trying to use these dashboards/insights to report-out our fundraising efforts.
In a related issue, I built a dashboard (Appeal Performance) which includes insight filters for 1 appeal, 4 funds, and gift types to include one-time gifts and pledges. When viewing the dashboard result, the total is way off as it only includes the one-time gifts. If I click on the revenue figure and look at the fly-out of all gifts, that total is correct and includes pledges (paid or unpaid). I can't send my Director to a dashboard and say 'go to the wrong revenue amount and click on it in order to see the correct revenue amount'. Why is the dashboard configured in a way that excludes insight filters I've specified such as gift type?
