This is NOT going to work as it functions today. We have thousands of appeals and slicking Show all in each appeal field for each donor in the batch will take forever to open. There needs to be a change to this functionality. This cannot be the way this works.

Selecting a recent appeal from the appeals field is not populating the package field. It used to populate package when we had this feature because batch grid view was released.

@anthony - ok, I do see it now - when I had tested it initially I apparently chose people who didn't have recent appeals. So that part is good.

BUT. Unless I'm missing something, this doesn't work for online gifts. And it had worked with those, prior to grid view. (But if I'm missing something glaringly obvious, please please please someone let me know!)

Thank you Anthony, I see what you mean now. When I click in the appeal column of the batch where I would type the appeal coding I see Show All and it shows the recent appeals at the top of the list of appeals. This will be very helpful.

It does make sense and we got this feedback and implemented it via the "show all" option in the search list results. If you click in the appeals cell and then the "show all" link, you will see the items you are looking for at the top of the list view option that will open up.

Exactly Tracy. Before Batch Grid View, webview batch displayed the last three appeals the donor had received (using date logic) and we could click on one of the appeal names and instantly code the new gift to that appeal - campaign, fund, appeal and package were all populated to match the clicked appeal.

We lost this when batch grid view was released and we would like the web view feature back.

I think maybe there's a misunderstanding. Not speaking for anyone else, but the thing I was looking for was the last appeal(s) that person has received. We have a LOT of appeals. We have a LOT of donors. It's not about searching for the appeal - it's that I don't KNOW what appeal this donor has received. Which is why I liked that one aspect of the old batch form: it told me if that donor had received appeals recently, and which ones.

Does that make sense?

@Julie, this is for sure out. In the Appeal column, you will be able to search by ID or name, but there is also a link to "Show all" in the results area. This link will bring you to a list style selection which will contain the recently used quick links.

100% agree, having to look up last appeal sent, and then manually typing in each of the fields is labor intensive when it doesn't have to be!

I agree with all comments - The recent appeals list was the main feature the I preferred in the web view batch over database view batches.

There's been an immediate trend of feedback for implementing this functionality into the new grid view for Gift Batches, so it would be quintessential to see this happen.

Pleasee bring this back as this was the main advantage of using the NXT batch view, now it will be more time consuming than before to go and check individual records.
