We can convert credit card gifts in RENXT easily, but cannot convert direct debit gifts in Canada.

As per Blackbaud: Recurring gifts paid by direct debit must process through Blackbaud Merchant Services. Only U.S. direct debit payments are eligible to convert.

If new donors sign up with Visa Debit, or direct debit on NXT they are able to do this, but there is no functionality to convert existing, meaning database view is still required to manually run the direct debits each month.
