Linking Gifts to Membership

After we converted to RENXT from eTapestry we imported all of the memberships into the membership module however I have not been able to link past transactions using the link new gifts button.  This is grayed out. Please make it possible to link past gifts to lapsed memberships so we can have an accurate historical record.

    Please add the membership module to NXT. That way, it can be used the way it's used in database view--having a membership donation form, having a history of past memberships, linking gifts as Therese mentions, etc.

    Yes, this would be incredibly useful! It hasn't been possible in RE all this time, and we've been manually rebuilidng each membership record that didn't get linked properly (due to an import 10 years ago that no one realized would cause problems later...), which has caused reporting errors in RE7. With the improved analytics views in NXT, the errors are magnified.
