Right now, RE NXT Insights calculates average gift using the giftsplit dataset, which divides the gift amount by the number of fund splits. That means if a single gift is split across multiple funds, the average looks smaller than it really is.

What We’d Love to See:
Add flexibility so we can choose how the average is calculated in Dashboard and Insights. For example:

• Total Gift Amount ÷ Number of Gifts Committed
  (Shows the true average per gift, regardless of splits.)

• Total Gift Amount ÷ Number of Donors
  (Great for donor-level analysis.)

Having these options makes dashboards more useful and helps teams saves time by reducing manual recalculations.
