Request:
Please add native support for full UTM parameter tracking (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content) within Online Giving donation forms in Raiser's Edge NXT, with all captured UTM values automatically written to the corresponding gift record.
Why This Matters:
Modern fundraising relies heavily on digital attribution. Without complete UTM tracking, organizations cannot accurately measure which campaigns, channels, ads, or content are driving donations. While Online Giving currently supports limited URL parameters, it does not provide the standardized, industry-wide UTM framework that every digital marketer depends on. As a result, RE NXT users are forced to rely on external workarounds, incomplete attribution, or manual data processes—none of which scale for organizations with significant digital engagement.
Adding full UTM support would allow RE NXT users to:
Accurately attribute revenue to specific digital campaigns and channels
Optimize marketing spend and donor acquisition strategies
Integrate seamlessly with Google Analytics, Meta Ads, and marketing automation tools
Improve donor insights and segmentation by understanding the true path to donation
Eliminate manual workarounds and reduce data-entry burdens on staff

What We’re Asking For:
Automatic recognition and capture of standard UTM parameters from the donation form URL.
Storage of UTM values on the resulting gift record, ideally in dedicated fields or a structured attribution object.
Availability of UTM data in exports, SKY API endpoints, and reporting, enabling full funnel analysis across tools.

Hi voters! Just a quick update on this one - we are finishing up a portion of this work - to include UTM parameters passing into Google Tag Manager. We're working on finishing the documentation for the Google Tag Manager setup and will be putting in the What's New later this month!
This is so important in creating a data-driven fundraising strategy! Please implement all of this, and please implement it for membership forms as well!
Yes please! I have been pulling my hair out trying to figure out why our UTMs haven't been showing up! Hopefully this is implemented soon.
We were just trying to figure out how to do this ourselves when we came across this post. I really hope this is something we see implemented really soon. Please....Blackbaud :)
This was available in OLX, so it absolutely should be available within a newer version of donation forms.
