I was asked by support to raise this here. When running the Update Gift Aid status in webview, this only works for a small number of gifts:
For example, If I include just the gift dates of 'Yesterday' it runs, I get the confirmation popup and these gifts are updated. However, if I run it for 'Last Quarter' or 'This Calendar Year' there is no popup message and the gifts are not updated --- (and I have waited DAYS to check that it's not just taking a very long time). The system must crash behind the scenes, or not run at all, when there is a certain number of gifts to update, but there is no flag to say this is what happened.
There is no error message to say that this process hasn't run, so I worry that some organisations will be submitting claims under the assumption that the status updates have been applied when they haven't.
This needs to be fixed to ensure legal gift aid claims! (and it did run fine in database view!)
Got to be honest, Gift Aid with RE NXT is literally making me shout at the computer because I am having to end a declaration in DB view and add a new one there because Web view doesn't let you go back the 4 years we are entitled to.
I don't know why Blackbaud didn't wait until it was properly up and running before transfering it over to Webview. its like they have no real understanding of what we have to do for Gift Aid to remain compliant.
