We have 2-3 attributes/custom fields we add to every gift, they are required in dbv and easy to add via defaults. We are trying to use the batch entry in web view more but having to click so many times to add these custom fields is not only cumbersome but leaves so much room for error if someone forgets. Having a pre-set option for gift entry, including basics like campaign, fund appeal, but also custom fields would be ideal!
What we're asking for is a way to default the custom fields so we don't have to click/select 4 or 5 custom fields for every gift in batch.
Yes! We use custom gift fields in batch to record everything from postmark date, mail received date and multiple vital details coming in from Luminate Online: LO donation form name, donation type, LO gift ID, LO recurring gift ID.
100% this. Every card payment gift that we receive has an attribute to show what processor is came through for our finance team. We've also got gifts from 3 different bank accounts, which is noted with a gift attribute. This is vital.
