In Database View you can use a pull down for all the options say for Appeal, Campaign, Fund and then pick from the defined options for your organization. In Web View you need to start to type what you think the Appeal is for it to then populate. If you can't remember or don't know the exact setup for the Appeal it becomes difficult for data entry. Can the pull down option be added to Web View? This is also true for other fields in Web View. It is making the transition hard from Database View since a lot of time is spent trying to determine the correct wording for the field to populate.
And - this may be a different issue (and if so I'll do it separately) - but it seems like you have to get the first three letters correct before it'll then show you everything with those three letters.
Ex: "Memorial/Tribute"
I type M - nothing
Add e - Me - nothing
Add m - Mem - NOW it shows me options with those letters.
In db view the M brings me to the first value beginning with M. Imemdiately.
Yes please! This is really problematic when you have lots of codes and can't remember the first letter / number ... a drop down is much easier!
I head Blackbaud changed it as the lists were too long to scroll through... however the solution would be to have the FULL list, that then automatically shortens as you start to type (to match what you're typing)
