Ability to us a Query as a template for the Main Search results.

Currently the Main Search results are very limited, and users need information to be displayed. In the database view this is able to be done by using a Query as a template for the Main Search output display. This is a wonderful "work smarter, not harder" feature that is in database view and would be awesome to have in the Unified View.

Yes, I would love to be able to see some custom fields about our funds in NXT without having to open the fund record.

It doesn't HAVE to be a query template. I think we want that functionality, but how it is made available may be different. But yes, I wholeheartedly agree that the search results screen should be able to be configurable.

For instance, when I was in a school the primary alumni class year was critical. I may want different results for relationships than I would for other constituents, see total giving, or see start and end dates on campaign, fund or appeal records.

Yes!!!! This is an extremely important function that keeps me from using search in WV. In dbv I use a query that displays additional information (such as Constituent Code) which is very helpful when identifying namesakes. I may not remember where John Doe lives or their email but I know that they are Board members and seeing that constituent code saves me time from opening records of other John Does. Currently, especially when moving gifts from one constituent to another (a great feature of WV, btw), I have to search for the constituent in dbv and note their address/RE ID just so I do not make a mistake when then searching for them in WV. This adds additional unnecessary time to what should be a quick action.
