In OLX, the thermometer updates with every transaction regardless of batch entry status in RE. Taking the time to review and approve hundreds of transactions before showing in the goal meter will defeat the purpose of having an up-to-date fundraising thermometer and create more stress for the gift processor on already stressful giving days like Giving Tuesday and other online giving challenges. Please count all transactions made on the form attached to a goal meter whether they have been approved in a batch or not. Or please explain the significance of the way it was designed.
Thank you! I've passed this on to our content write to make this more clear!
Oh that's great! Thank you for responding. Could that be updated on this info page? https://webfiles-sc1.blackbaud.com/files/support/helpfiles/rex/content/web-components-designer-rc.html. It currently says "Note: If you use Raiser's Edge NXT, all gifts must be approved in batch to be included in the total amount on goal meters."
The goal meter automatically updates if you choose to attach it to a donation form instead of the List. RENXT Lists require that the transaction is approved to become a gift; configuring the goal meter to the donation form instead allows for real-time updates similar to OLX.
