When reviewing the list of undergiving major prospects, the lists will include dead people. The system should automatically not include deceased donors/prospects. Makes no sense to see a dead person in a list and tell me that they are undergiving. No kidding. Wonder why they are undergiving.
Deceased prospects are automatically excluded from the Untapped Candidates queue. We left them in any queues that highlight prospects assigned to fundraisers thinking that if they are still in portfolio, then you may want to either end the fundraiser relationship (for Low Likelihood) or the relationship is still being managed in some way (perhaps through a Foundation). We'll explore updating the logic for the Undergiving queue to exclude deceased prospects as well.
Why should we have to remove a piece of data from the record in order to exclude them? If they're deceased, then we should either have the option to remove them so that each org can customize for what the need is at the moment, or that should be enough to remove them from the Prospects by itself.
All constituents are assigned a fundraiser based on demographics and various other criteria. When there is donor giving movement or actions then the constituent populates to the fundraiser's dashboard. There should be an option to not include deceased similar to when creating queries in database view.
Thanks, Joyce! The system does automatically exclude deceased prospects as long as they are not assigned to a fundraiser. If they are appearing in the Undergiving queue, then they are still assigned to a fundraiser. I get your point about the Undergiving recommendation. Is there a reason you'd want to keep them assigned to a fundraiser? Would it be more helpful to move them to a separate queue - and recommend removing the fundraiser assignment?
